JE Design EOS

After JE DESIGN offered a discrete modification together with increased performance a few weeks ago just in time for the presentation of the new VW "Eos" convertible sports coupé, the Leingarten-based tuner is already upping the ante.

Because you can never have enough power, JE DESIGN gives the 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TFSI engine models a little extra horsepower. As a result, the diesel engine delivers approx. 130 kW/176 hp (standard: 103 kW/140 hp) at 4000 RPM. You can pass other cars quickly thanks to the 405 Nm. The added power also affects the top speed: 212 km/h compared to 206 km/h for the standard model. Naturally, that also improves acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h. A time of 10.3 seconds is reduced to 9.2 seconds.

The lower suspension set, which lowers the "Eos" by about 30 mm, promises better road handling.

The 19-inch "Multispoke" rims in 8x19ET 45 with 235/35 R 19 tires round out the overall picture perfectly.

Ferrari 612 Carrozzeria Scaglietti

The bespoke aspects of the car, designed and manufactured under Ferrari’s Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme, are: Wallpaper* branding on the aluminium kickplates, discreet branding on the leather of the glovebox lid, and a custom-made leather pocket for the magazine’s new Wallpaper* City Guides .

The 6 of the 612 indicates the car’s displacement (5,748 cc rounded off), while 12 is the number of cylinders boasted by the engine. This is a car with all of the fiery temperament and driving pleasure of a thoroughbred Ferrari, combining thrilling performance, agility and safety.

The 612 Scaglietti offers the kind of dynamic performance (0-62 mph sprint in just 4.2 seconds), stability and nimble manoeuvrability generally only found in a mid-rear engined car, and still has an exceptional amount of space for its passengers and their luggage.

MTM Bentley Continental GT “Birkin Edition”

Fastest Bentley ever!

All the versions have been developed by MTM on its proprietary dynamometers and thoroughly tested in road and racing use. 560 bhp as standard and a top speed of 318 km/h should actually suffice for the highways of this world.

MTM boosts the power of the 12 cylinder engine by recalibrating the engine electronics to 635 bhp / 467 kW and the torque to an impressive 780 Nm. With the second performance kit, MTM conjures up to 650 bhp / 478 kW out of this large 6-liter W12 engine, which then generates a staggering 795 Nm with ease instead of the already impressive 650 Nm of the production version. The 2.5 ton blockbuster converts this increased torque in 4.2 seconds for the sprint from "zero to hundred" (series: 4.8 s).

On the high-speed Nardo oval in Italy, where the 300 km/h+ elite meet up every year for a showdown, the MTM Continental GT produced the proven 331 km/h! This makes it the fastest Bentley ever built.

Honda Stream

The new, second-generation Stream is a 7-passenger car with the versatility and functionality to make getting around a true pleasure.

Body frame rigidity has been enhanced for improved driving performance, and the front sub-pillars have been eliminated to attain a significant increase in visibility.

The sporty RSZ, available in both 2.0-liter and 1.8-liter versions, comes equipped with 17-inch aluminum wheels and a custom-tuned suspension for extra driving enjoyment.

The new Stream is also available with the most advanced Honda safety technologies, including IHCC2 (Intelligent Highway Cruise Control), which controls vehicle speed and distance to the car ahead to reduce the burden on the driver, and CMBS2 (Collision Mitigation Brake System) + E-pretensioners2, which uses millimeter wave radar technology to detect the possibility of a collision and then help avoid or reduce the force of the collision.

Elfin MS8 Steamliner

Elfin MS8 Streamliner is a classic sports car powered by Holden's V8 engine.

The Steamliner is powered by Holden’s Gen III 5.7-liter V8, producing 325 bhp of power, for unrivalled acceleration.

Far from being a stripped-down track-only device, though, the ES8 provides features such as cruise control, traction control, and ABS, and the interior appears to be livable enough to make setting the idea of setting the cruise somewhat plausible.

Triumph for Bugatti Veyron

The 4162 lb $1,700,000 Bugatti ripped through the gears to hit 60 mph in 2.8 sec and 100 mph in an astonishing 5.5 sec. It then stopped in just 3.4 sec, giving a 0-100-0 mph time of 9.9 sec.

Not only is the Bugatti faster than the Suzuki, it creates more g-force at maximum acceleration than you’d experience in an F-16 jet fighter at take off or when skydiving.

Brabus Rocket: 225.1 mph

The Brabus Rocket, built in small-series production based on the Mercedes CLS series, is the world's fastest sedan. During test runs on the high-speed track in the southern Italian town of Nardo the $435,000 high-performance automobile improved upon the previous record of 217.5 mph, held also by Brabus with the E V12 Biturbo. The new record is 225.1 mph (362.4 km/h).

The heart of the new record car is the twin-turbo V12 engine from the latest Mercedes 600 models. Brabus increases displacement to 6,233 ccm with a special crankshaft, larger cylinder bore and forged pistons.

The Brabus S V12 S Biturbo engine becomes the most powerful TÜV-tested engine from Germany. The engines puts out its maximum power of 730 bhp at 5,100 rpm. Peak torque is 973 lb-ft, limited electronically to 812 lb-ft, available from a low 2,100 rpm.

In addition to the top speed of 225.1 mph, limited electronically for street-legal operation to 220 mph, the Brabus Rocket also offers acceleration at the highest level: 0 – 62 mph in 4.0 seconds, 0 – 124 mph in 10.5 seconds, 0 – 186 mph in 29.5 seconds.

Seat Leon Cupra

The new Cupra is a record-breaking car: it is the most powerful Seat passenger car to date. With 240 bhp, the new model sits at the top of Seat’s sporty range.

With this engine, the Leon Cupra achieves performance worthy of a WTCC track car with a top speed of 153 mph. The Cupra accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in only 6.2 seconds. Furthermore, it covers the first 1000 meters in only 26.4 seconds.

An outstanding feature at the rear of the car is the lower section’s black finish, which emulates the Leon WTCC’s diffusers. Another unique Cupra feature is the polished steel oval exhaust pipe.

The ultra-sporty Seats are the first feature which catches the eye. In fact, the Cupra’s Seats are so focused that they could genuinely be racing car Seats. They surround the body and include an integrated head restraint.

Porsche 911 Targa 4S

The 911 Targa 4S features a 3.8-liter engine producing 355 horsepower. This model sprints from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.7 seconds, and has a top test-track speed of 179 mph.

The glass roof is not just a styling exercise, however, as it also provides for a light, airy interior. Moreover, the electrically operated roof panel can be retracted at all vehicle speeds in only seven seconds, revealing a spacious 4.8 square-foot (0.45 m/sq.) opening.

With the top open, turbulence within the cabin is also reduced by a wind deflector, encouraging open-roof motoring even at lower ambient temperatures.

Thanks to Porsche’s VarioCam Plus intake-valve control system, the 3.8-liter mill in the Targa 4S provides 295 lb-ft of torque at 4600 rpm. In both of the new Targa models, power is routed via a standard six-speed manual gearbox with short, precise shift throws.
